Sheepherders play their Ambient, Trance, Raga, World, Rock, Jazz Infused, Latin,
Ethereal, Psychedelic, Dynamic, Percussive, Dissonant, Live, Other Music. The
band reminds me of being at a live Santana concert, while heavily intoxicated,
and on psychedelic drugs, hallucinogens, and various stimuli. The opening act
at the concert is Phish, and The Grateful Dead are the closing live band that
is jamming at the show. There are many pictures of the jam bands taken at the
show. There are also lots of pictures of their instruments, including drums,
persussion instruments, Congas, Djembe, Maracas, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Udu, Bells,
Cymbals, Dumbek, Effects, Processors, and other various African drum and percussion
instruments. The band specializes in world, ethnic and heavy rock oriented musical
jamming. The music is played impromptu, and always right to DAT. The band was
formed in 1996 and named after the concept of Jamming with no beginning or end.
In Morocco the shepherds play their instruments throughout the day without concern
for musical structure. The music takes them where they need to go. The music
is very feeling and emotional in nature. The dynamics are seen as the music
builds from soft trance-like renditions to powerful dramatic overtures that
pound out the primordial beats that exists in all but not exposed to the world
in most. Not unlike the Grateful dead shows, the recordings of MSH are always
different. The new music comes from the heart and soul not from a sheet of music.
Moroccan Sheepherders like Phish never really know how a concert will end. There
is a vast body of music recorded from 1996 to present. Moroccan Sheepherders
